I took my tablet to Labour Party Conference last month but when I turned IE on I got the “certificate revoked” error; this only displayed when opening IE on the desktop. I found this thread on microsoft.com which blamed KB4516067. Here are my notes …

The error message says, “A certificate was explicitly revoked by its end user”.

I used Control Panel to remove KB4516067 but if windows update is installed, it reinstalls the little blighter. Today i.e 6th Oct, I sat down to try and fix it properly but it installed a new update set and now seems to be working, which is a relief since it has been suggested in the thread that microsoft update components cannot be blacklisted and the windows updates service cannot be turned off … not so sure about the last bit.

Hope this helps someone?
