Many of my snipsnap wiki articles are about Neverwinter Nights and refer to the author’s community site. I am copying them across to this wiki. The Bioware community forums were hacked in June 2011 and they did not put them back or preserve the permalinks. I have left the links in the articles, which means they are broken. Sorry!
This page is about my attempts to install NWN under WINE on my MAC. I finally got this working in March 2011 and then attempted to ensure that this page focuses on the NWN actions and runes, and that my WINE page deals with installing WINE on the MAC. I returned in 2014, to try and get NWN2 working. The page consists of several sections, my initial work in 2009, and the further work when I tried to install NWN2 after my Mavericks upgrade. The sucessful install with Winery is documented in the section called Winery 2014. Continue reading “WINE and NWN”
Some notes on Playing a Mage in the NWN Official Campaign. I made her an Evoker. An extra spell per level, but you lose “Summoning”. I have never played a wizard under wither V2 or V3 rules, and it’s really changed. I need to check up on the offence, defence, buffing, protection and counterspells. About the specialisation, despite losing summoning, neither Shades nor Mordenkian’s Sword are summoned, it would seem. This article contains broken Bioware links. Continue reading “NWN Playing a Wizard”
This page captures my notes on the NWN, so-called, Official Campaign i.e. the first released game for NWN1. It is the story of the rise of the Hero of Neverwinter, who defeated the plot of the “Old Ones” return. This was copied from wiki V.1 on 22nd June 2013. Some of the internal links need to be revised. The early Bioware links are broken forever! And now the Vault links are also broken. Continue reading “NWN Walkthroughs”
I decided I wanted to author a module. So I found the obvious resources and links and started the tutorial, the Invasion of Fern. [Aurora Toolset Tutorial] I, of course, found some stuff to be missing. This page is my my how to code a module page. This article contains broken Bioware links and now broken Vault links. Continue reading “NWN Making new modules”
I got this for Xmas in 2006. The last comments made prior to copying from the orginal bliki was in July 2009. It makes reference to Bioware community resources, which have since gone away. This is the second add-on to the Official Campaign; it is followed by a game called Hordes of the Underdark. See NWN – Some Modules, and look for HoU Crossover. This is the start of a three part story which ends at Hordes of the Underdark, so start a new character to see what happens in the 17+ levels. Continue reading “Shadow of Udrentide”
I am sorry I tried this, its very short, and an unfinished work in progress and has been so for a number of years, I don’t think we’re getting part two.
While I have not tried this with a pure play fighter class, I have never met such tough rats and Kobolds.
The story is too incomplete to put up with the constant replay of the fights against monsters that should be easier.
This article has links to the Bioware forums which are now broken. See BiowareCommunity Forums V1.It is the notes a made when running through the game the first time. I chose a Paladin and took some bad advice. I am really not sure about running the first four levels as a fighter to get the bastard sword proficiency. The Paladin is not as tasty as I expected from V1 rules. (See below).
This needs the full size images uploaded. Continue reading “NWN Playing a Paladin”
This details my notes in making the game multiplayer. I am pretty certain that I bought a second copy to make this happen. I know I bought a second CD/DVD copy. I have some notes on logging in, and some links which were once helpful. This article contains broken Bioware links. Continue reading “NWN Mulitplayer”
Another Bioware game based on the Infinity Engine and the AD&D V2 rules. A lot of the BG2 modders community argue this is the best game of all. Currently Amazon are offering second hand white label copies for upwards of 50 quid.
In Baldur’s Gate 2, there are specific quests related to the interaction between you (the protagonist) and certain individual party members. One of the candidates as an object of your affection is Jaheira, who you first met in part one, Baldur’s Gate. My Jaheira FAQ was originally written in April 2002 and revised in Sept 2004 and then again in Jan 2005 when it was moved to davelevy.info. I decided in 2007 to move the content to this wiki and delete the index at davelevy.info. It has been revised for look and feel in the winter of 2014/15 as I moved to the Nulis theme. The links section is going to be pretty broken by now. DFL 2014
