NWN Playing a Wizard

Some notes on Playing a Mage in the NWN Official Campaign. I made her an Evoker. An extra spell per level, but you lose “Summoning”. I have never played a wizard under wither V2 or V3 rules, and it’s really changed. I need to check up on the offence, defence, buffing, protection and counterspells. About the specialisation, despite losing summoning, neither Shades nor Mordenkian’s Sword are summoned, it would seem. This article contains broken Bioware links. NWN Walkthroughs

This page captures my notes on the NWN, so-called, Official Campaign i.e. the first released game for NWN1. It is the story of the rise of the Hero of Neverwinter, who defeated the plot of the “Old Ones” return. This was copied from wiki V.1 on 22nd June 2013. Some of the internal links need to be revised.  The early Bioware links are broken forever! And now the Vault links are also broken. Continue reading “NWN Walkthroughs”

Jaheira

In Baldur’s Gate 2, there are specific quests related to the interaction between you (the protagonist) and certain individual party members. One of the candidates as an object of your affection is Jaheira, who you first met in part one, Baldur’s Gate. My Jaheira FAQ was originally written in April 2002 and revised in Sept 2004 and then again in Jan 2005 when it was moved to davelevy.info. I decided in 2007 to move the content to this wiki and delete the index at davelevy.info. It has been revised for look and feel in the winter of 2014/15 as I moved to the Nulis theme. The links section is going to be pretty broken by now. DFL 2014

This page has several sections; Lennon’s Hints, Poking the Game, Q & A, I’m in a hurry aka Read me first, Some Links, Background and playing hints.

Unearthed Arcana

“Unearthed Arcana” was a supplement to the AD+D V1.0 rules. Unearthed Arcana’s introduction and publication date was dated May 1st 1985. It had a number of variations from the V1.0 rules and introduced some additional sub races, and character classes, including the Barbarian and Cavalier. It also made the Paladin, a cavalier sub-class which at the time was a good thing as it increased the Paladin’s innate abilities, but is the slippery slope that leads us to anaemic thing it is today! It also added a bunch of spells for all spell casting classes, introduced weapon specialisation and changed the way in which attribute generation occurred, recognising that the choice of class should come before the attribute rolls.

Another great feature was the enrichment of the demi-human multi- combinations and the enhanced level restrictions for demi-human multi-class options. Continue reading “Unearthed Arcana”
