Syncios and Android 5

I had to restore an Android contacts file. The restore copy had been made by syncios. I am not sure what version of syncios or android acted as the source, but the target was Android 5.2.2.

  1. Plug the phone in, I am offered a syncios upgrade which I take.
  2. Unplug and replug the phone in, it will launch syncios and states it needs USB debug mode to be turned on, instructions on how to get into developer mode and do this are here.
  3. Once in USB debug, the PC element of the Syncios connection can run a restore of the Contacts file. The file selector needs to point at the date component of the recovery file path.
