Santiago de Compostella

I think I might go there. It’s in Galicia, just around the corner from Coruna but possibly most accessible from Santander, which can be reached by ship or by ‘plane.

I suspect the ship’s out, the only direct route by ‘plane from London is via Stansted carried by Ryanair [Time Table].  Boo! Although it’s only 46 minutes from Liverpool St.. Either about 7 in the morning or night. Looks like one flight each day. The also fly to Santiago in the afternoon.

I found this at, which talks about using the trains. They suggest via Paris & Burgos.

Where to stay

There are several Paradors in area, this one is in Santiago itself.
