I have been tidying up my desktop and web sites, and discovered that Google’s tools consider the subdomains, including this wiki as separate sites. There’s obviously some more work to do for some simple SEO work. Both the sub domains are wordpress sites.

This issues a verification string, which for wordpress is best embeded using the “verify google webmaster tools” plugin, there is also a sitemap plugin, see below.

I also found this
which I used in preference, the sitemap plugin, despite better marks, is a premium product with automatic update an additional chargeable item, the former, seeks to automatically post the file to GWT and needs the login credentials.
Having created sitemaps, I want these to be advertised in the robots.txt file. See WordPress and robots.txt.
