For the European Parliament election in Great Britain  and Greater London Authority City wide list, a form of PR is used. Parties register lists of candidates, and voters vote for their preferred party. The counting is done using a method called the Dhondt method. I spent the weekend at Momentum’s Digital Hub. I did some work on source code control. One of the questions it raised in my mind is around collaboration. The tools chosen are those that you’d expect from a bunch of techies and developers. There was a split about using facebook, and I reconsidered how one would build a private alternative.
